Fusion is one of the most promising sources of green and limitless energy for the future. It does not produce
long-lived by-products or greenhouse gases. Its importance is reflected in the development of many national
and international programs worldwide for over five decades. Lately, the private sector has joined the fusion
effort with the goal of delivering power plants in the near future. Despite the large amount of research and
development worldwide, we cannot but emphasize the absence of this activity in the Arab world.
